The initial consult is a scheduled meeting where we get to know each other and talk about your project. This includes discussing the scope of project, your vision for the new space, timeline, and budget. We will also discuss the design and architectural fees and how the entire process works.
After this conversation a detailed scope of work and fee proposal is drafted. If you decide we are a good fit and you want to engage in design services we will finalize the scope and get started on the fun stuff... designing!

INITIAL CONSULT
Design: Phase One
THE CONCEPT
This is the main idea! It is meant to serve as the
‘steering wheel’ that will drive the design throughout the project.
We will provide you with 2 to 3 conceptual design options including material boards and 3D renderings. Depending on the project this could include options for architectural space planning, overall style, and specific finishes such as decorative lighting, plumbing, cabinets, countertops, hardware and built-in millwork.

A meeting is scheduled and the concepts are presented and discussed. Once an option has been decided on we move on to phase two.

Design: Phase Two
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
After the concept has been decided we then start to narrow in on the final space plans, millwork drawings and finish selections. Samples of the preliminary finishes are collected from suppliers. This could include: flooring, wall tiles, countertops, millwork, hardware, plumbing, lighting and textiles.

Another meeting is scheduled to view tangible samples and discuss construction drawings. Once plans and finishes are selected we move on to phase three & four.
Design: Phase Three & Four
DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATION & SITE VISITS
At this phase all of the finishes have been refined and selected and detailed drawings and specification sheets are created.

Once construction begins, there will usually be a few site visits, sometimes followed by additional design time and communication. These visits are billed at an hourly outside of the original fee proposal.
